Apartment Management Company’s Selection Indicates Company’s Rising Stature

DETROIT, MI, January 19, 2017 – The National Multifamily Housing Council (NMHC), recently elected Diane Batayeh, President/COO of Village Green Property Management to join the Executive Committee of its Board of Directors. Joining the prestigious and high-powered committee is a sign of the success and industry influence of Batayeh and Village Green.

The invitation only group is NMHC’s highest level of board membership. It studies, promotes and represents the interests of the entire multi-family profession nationally, working closely with both government and related business organizations.

Over the past year, Batayeh has been instrumental in leading the executive team and the company through its organizational transformation. “This is quite an honor for me and the entire company. It is the most respected group in our industry affirming Village Green is a qualified and trusted partner in furthering the goals and representing the ideals of the multifamily industry. It’s an exciting time for us as we continue our evolution,” stated Batayeh.

Batayeh has been with Village Green for 37 years and has experience in all aspects of the apartment industry including property management, development, construction, asset management and financing. She currently oversees all of Village Green’s operating companies and leads the development and implementation of all business plans and strategic initiatives. In 2016, Real Estate Forum Magazine recognized her as a “Woman of Influence” - a group of industry pioneers who have helped to bring women’s activities to the forefront. Evidence of Batayeh’s focus on Village Green giving back to the communities in which it operates, is in 2016, the company raised over $100,000 for Ronald McDonald House Charities and contributed food for 30,000 meals to Feeding America.

The formal announcement of Village Green’s election will take place at the NMHC Annual Meeting in San Diego, January 24-26, 2017.
